  11. How to choose

The first time I set up Cometly, it was pitched to anyone running paid ads. Open the homepage today and it says "AI Marketing Attribution For B2B SaaS Companies", with talk of closed-won ARR and an MCP server for Claude.

That shift is the main reason this list exists. Some people searching for Cometly alternatives are SaaS teams comparing options. Many others are ecommerce, info-product and lead-gen marketers who signed up when the product was broader.

In this guide, I'll split the seven alternatives along that line and say who each one actually suits.

Editor's note

How I put this together

I've used Cometly myself, along with Triple Whale and Dreamdata's free plan, and ran Attribution App on its trial. HockeyStack, Factors.ai and Hyros were judged on walkthroughs, documentation and conversations with teams that run them.

The brands and agencies we work with cover SaaS, lead gen and ecommerce, so each group gets a fair pick. Every quote is copied from G2 or Capterra. I compared:

  • Whether it follows conversions to CRM deals, orders or subscriptions
  • How conversions are matched and sent back to Meta and Google
  • Whether you can audit where a number came from
  • How pricing works and whether you can start without a sales call

SourceLoop is our product. It went through the same checks as everything else here, and its section says plainly where it falls short.

Last checked November 2026. Confirm current pricing with each vendor.

What Cometly does well, and where users push back

Cometly homepage
Cometly homepage.

Cometly tracks ad clicks with a first-party pixel and server-side events, follows leads through to pipeline and revenue, and sends conversions back to Meta and Google. Its pricing page now describes usage-based pricing for a self-serve Core plan and a sales-led Enterprise plan.

When I used it, the conversion API sync was the highlight. Offline sales reached Meta and Google without custom code, and seeing ad-level revenue next to Ads Manager was genuinely useful.

Reviewers have praised the same thing for years:

"Cometly marries sales and marketing data into one platform and feeds it back to your ad channels for optimization so you can make data driven decision right from your Ad Accounts." (Source)

The criticism is mostly about setup and documentation:

"Sometimes it takes a bit too long to set it up if you have complex Tech Stack." (Source)
"Documentation is out of sync with the actual application" (Source)

The 7 best Cometly alternatives

The first four suit SaaS and B2B teams. The last three are for the ecommerce and info-product marketers Cometly no longer focuses on.

1. SourceLoop

Best for: lead generation businesses, SaaS teams and agencies that want ad platforms optimizing on qualified leads, won deals or payments.

SourceLoop report with the attribution model picker open showing seven models
Seven published models, switchable on any report.

SourceLoop is marketing attribution software that covers the same ground Cometly is known for, first-party tracking and conversion sync, and pushes further into lead quality and recurring revenue.

Every visit is tracked, every form, call, chat and booking is captured with its source, and each lead is followed into the CRM or billing system. You then decide what the ad platforms should learn from: every lead, only good leads, a CRM stage, a won deal or a payment.

Key features

  • Conversion sync with strong matching: each conversion goes to Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads and ChatGPT Ads with the click ID plus hashed email and phone, which lifts match rates.
SourceLoop conversion sync builder sending won deals to Google Ads with a value
Sending won deals and their value to Google Ads.
SourceLoop conversion sync builder with matching by ad click, hashed email and hashed phone
Choosing the trigger, value and matching for a Google Ads sync.
  • Lead quality rules: mark leads Good, Not a fit or Spam from form answers, email domain or call length, then sync only the good ones.
SourceLoop lead quality rule builder marking leads as Good based on conditions
A rule that marks qualified leads as Good.
  • Full journey on every contact: visits, ad clicks and landing pages before each conversion, also written to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or Jobber.
SourceLoop contact drawer with first-touch and last-touch attribution and the visit-by-visit journey
One contact's path before they converted.
  • Seven attribution models: first and last touch, first and last non-direct, linear, U-shaped and time decay, on leads, stages, deals or revenue. The same channel report shows how credit moves when you switch.
SourceLoop Traffic and Revenue report with conversions and revenue by channel
Conversions and revenue by channel, first and last touch side by side.
  • Subscriptions for SaaS: Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy and Dodo feed trials, MRR, churn and LTV by channel.
SourceLoop Subscriptions report with MRR, new MRR, churn and MRR by channel
MRR, churn and trial revenue split by the channel that acquired each customer.
  • Ad spend beside credited results: platform-reported conversions next to what SourceLoop credits each platform.
SourceLoop Ads report comparing platform-reported conversions with first-touch and last-touch credited conversions
What each ad platform claims, next to what SourceLoop credits it.
  • Alerts and custom reports: post new deals, high-value leads or weekly numbers to Slack or email, and share live reports that update on their own.
SourceLoop alert builder with a high-value lead rule sending to Slack
A Slack alert for any lead worth more than $1,000.
  • API and MCP server (Professional and up), so an AI assistant can query attribution directly.
SourceLoop API and MCP settings for connecting an AI assistant
Connecting an AI assistant to attribution data over MCP.

Where it falls short

  • There's no IP-based company identification, intent data or account scoring. For account-based programs, Factors.ai or Dreamdata go further.
  • LinkedIn and TikTok conversion sync are coming soon, not live yet.

Pricing

  • Essential: $49/mo for one site and 30,000 page views, with tracking, attribution reports, lead quality rules and alerts
  • Professional: $99/mo for 100,000 page views and unlimited users, adding CRM sync, conversion sync to the ad platforms, the API and MCP
  • Agency: $249/mo for three sites and 1.5 million page views, adding white label reporting
  • Unlimited conversions on every plan and a 7-day trial, with published prices.

Verdict: the closest match for teams that liked Cometly's conversion sync and want lead quality and subscriptions handled too. Pick an account-based tool if ABM is the core of your program.

2. HockeyStack

Best for: mid-market and enterprise B2B teams with large multi-channel budgets and someone to own the platform.

HockeyStack homepage
HockeyStack homepage.

HockeyStack pulls CRM, ad, website and product data into one model and adds AI agents for analysis and sales. For SaaS teams that found Cometly too light, it's the most ambitious option here.

The walkthrough I saw was impressive. Flipping between first touch, linear and last touch on the same revenue report takes seconds, and the journey views make a long deal easy to explain.

The worry is what happens after signing. Several recent reviews describe onboarding that dragged on for months and data that never matched Salesforce. One reviewer says their contract ended because the data never connected.

So I'd treat HockeyStack as a serious project. Ask for a reference customer with a CRM setup like yours, and agree on what "connected" means before you sign.

Key features

  • CRM, ads, marketing automation and product usage data come together in one model, which suits SaaS companies with product-led motions.
  • You can switch between attribution models on the same report, so different teammates can read results in the way they trust.
  • Journeys are mapped from the first anonymous visit to closed-won, which makes long B2B deals easier to explain to leadership.
  • AI agents handle analysis and support sales prospecting, built on the same unified data.

Where it falls short

  • There's no self-serve trial, so you commit to a sales process and onboarding before seeing your own data.
  • Implementation depends heavily on clean CRM data, and several reviewers say theirs never connected properly.
  • It's built for larger B2B budgets, so smaller SaaS teams may pay for far more platform than they use.

What users say

"I like being able to switch between attribution models like first touch, linear, and last touch in a second, so different marketing teammates can look at reports in different ways." (Source)
"4 months of onboarding ended in us cancelling the contract because they could not connect our data." (Source)
"Data was constantly incorrect in HockeyStack compared to our Salesforce instance and the sync/load times were incredibly slow." (Source)

3. Factors.ai

Best for: B2B SaaS teams running account-based marketing on LinkedIn and Google Ads.

Factors.ai homepage
Factors.ai homepage.

Factors.ai identifies companies visiting your site, scores them on engagement and intent, and shows every touch at an account in one timeline. It then ties that to CRM deals for account-level attribution.

It answers a question Cometly doesn't: which companies are interested before anyone fills in a form. In the walkthrough, the account timeline was the part I kept coming back to, because it shows several people from one company researching over weeks.

Teams I know who use it like that view and the LinkedIn audience building. They also mention that smaller companies often don't get matched, and that the interface takes time to learn.

Key features

  • Visiting companies are identified from their IP address, so sales can see interest from target accounts before a form is filled.
  • Each account gets a timeline of every person and touch across weeks of research, which makes buying committees visible.
  • Account-level attribution ties engagement to HubSpot and Salesforce deals, crediting campaigns that warmed up the whole account.
  • LinkedIn and Google Ads audiences can be built from engaged accounts, so spend follows the companies showing intent.

Where it falls short

  • Company matching needs business traffic, so it does little for consumer brands or local lead generation.
  • It doesn't track phone calls, which leaves a gap for B2B services that close deals by phone.
  • Costs grow with identified accounts and usage, which makes the bill harder to predict as traffic grows.

What users say

"Factors shows us which companies are visiting our website and what they're looking at, before they ever fill out a form." (Source)
"It makes life very easy to build website funnels - much easier to build and visualize as compared to any other tool such as Google analytics" (Source)
"Some website visitors don't get matched to a company, especially smaller companies. Pricing can also go up as usage grows." (Source)

Pricing

  • Lite: $199/mo
  • Basic and Growth: $6,000 and $20,000/yr
  • Enterprise: from $30,000/yr, with a free trial available

4. Dreamdata

Best for: B2B SaaS companies with long, multi-person sales cycles that want a free way to start.

Dreamdata homepage
Dreamdata homepage.

Dreamdata joins every contact's activity at a company into one journey and credits CRM stages from MQL to closed-won. It also identifies visiting companies and offers an AI agent and an MCP server.

I've used it on the free plan, and the company journey is where it earns its place. Seeing everyone from one account, every ad and every page in a single timeline makes a six-month deal readable in one screen.

What took me longer was finding the right report. There are many ways to view the same data, and new teammates needed a walkthrough. Reviewers say the same, and add that it reads from Salesforce but doesn't push data back.

The free plan is a fair test, but full attribution and ad platform activation sit on custom-priced plans, so budget for a sales conversation if it fits.

Key features

  • Every contact at a company is joined into one account timeline, which shows how buying committees research over months.
  • Attribution credits CRM stages from MQL through SQL and opportunity to closed-won, not just the first conversion.
  • Anonymous visits are matched to companies, so early research shows up before anyone identifies themselves.
  • An AI agent and an MCP server let you analyze journeys in plain language or from your own assistant.

Where it falls short

  • Revenue from calls or billing systems isn't covered, since it's built around web activity and CRM deals.
  • Paid plans aren't priced publicly, so moving beyond the free tier means a sales process.
  • Reports update in real time with no way to freeze a dataset, which complicates month-end reporting.

What users say

"Since Dreamdata is easy to use the non technical marketers can easily find out which channel are driving most pipeline with Dreamdata reports." (Source)
"Learning curve is rather steep in the first 1-2 months." (Source)
"It would be nice if it could push data to SFDC, rather than just pulling it" (Source)

Pricing

  • Free: $0/mo with 2 months of history and 5 seats
  • Attribution and Activation: custom pricing

5. Attribution App

Best for: SaaS teams that want to audit every dollar back to a specific click and customer.

Attribution App homepage
Attribution App homepage.

Attribution App is deterministic and click-based. It reads revenue from Stripe, HubSpot or Salesforce, imports ad costs down to the ad, and lets you drill from a channel to the actual customers behind it.

On the trial, the drill-down was what I'd show a skeptical CFO. Every revenue number could be explained by clicking through to named customers, which isn't something Cometly's reports make as easy.

Setup asked more of me. Connecting the data sources took coordination, and there was no history from before install, so the first weeks of reports were thin. It has since added media mix modeling, incrementality testing and an MCP server.

Key features

  • Attribution is deterministic and click-based, with configurable models and lookback windows you can explain line by line.
  • Revenue is read from Stripe, HubSpot or Salesforce, so SaaS teams see subscription and deal value per channel.
  • Ad costs are imported down to individual ads, giving ROAS and payback at the level media buyers work at.
  • Media mix modeling, incrementality testing and an MCP server sit alongside the click-based reports.

Where it falls short

  • There's no call tracking, which several users have asked for and which matters for sales-led SaaS.
  • Data starts on the day you install it, so there's no backfilled history to compare against.
  • It doesn't send conversions back to ad platforms, so you'll need another tool for conversion API sync.

What users say

"I've worked with every analytics tool out there and Attribution is the only tool that can actually do multi-touch attribution." (Source)
"Their documentation is lacking and should be updated." (Source)
"Tracking phone calls would be greatly valuable." (Source)

Pricing

  • Pro: $399/mo ($335 billed yearly) for up to 10,000 monthly tracked users
  • Custom: quoted above that, with a 14-day trial

6. Triple Whale

Best for: Shopify and DTC brands that signed up for Cometly when it served ecommerce.

Triple Whale homepage
Triple Whale homepage.

Triple Whale brings Shopify orders, ad spend and its own pixel into one dashboard, adds Moby AI, and sends signals back to the ad platforms. It now has a free plan.

I've used it on live stores. The summary dashboard was useful within a day, and the free tier makes it easy to try before talking to anyone.

The pixel's numbers took some explaining, because they rarely match what Meta reports. Paid tiers are priced by GMV, so a good year raises the bill.

Key features

  • Shopify orders, ad spend and the Triple Pixel come together in one real-time view of the store's performance.
  • Orders are attributed across Meta, Google, TikTok and other paid channels, with first and last click from day one.
  • Moby AI answers questions about performance and can generate on-brand creative ideas.
  • High-intent signals are pushed back to the ad platforms on paid tiers to improve optimization.

Where it falls short

  • It's built for stores, so leads, calls and CRM deals have nowhere to go.
  • Paid pricing scales with revenue, which can make costs jump as the brand grows.
  • Pixel totals rarely match the ad platforms, and someone has to explain the gap to the team.

What users say

"I like that Triple Whale brings key ecommerce and marketing metrics into a single dashboard, making it much easier to understand performance across channels." (Source)
"The attribution system is consistently buggy and unreliable, causing more harm than good." (Source)

7. Hyros

Best for: info-product, coaching and high-ticket businesses selling through funnels and calls.

Hyros homepage
Hyros homepage.

Hyros tracks ad clicks through funnels, booked calls and final sales, then feeds sales data back to the ad platforms. Many course creators who used Cometly came from, or moved to, Hyros.

Getting a demo means booking a call, and the pitch is built around long attribution windows and optimizing ads on real sales. For a coaching offer that closes on the phone weeks after the click, that's the right problem to solve.

Public review data is thin, and the two reviews on G2 are both critical of the setup and promises. I'd ask for references from businesses with a funnel like yours.

Key features

  • Ad clicks are followed through funnels, booked calls and final sales, even when the purchase comes weeks later.
  • Sales data is sent back to the ad platforms, so campaigns optimize toward buyers rather than cheap opt-ins.
  • Long attribution windows suit high-ticket offers where people take time to decide.
  • AI reports point to the ads and funnels that are making money, not just producing leads.

Where it falls short

  • Prices aren't published and there's no trial, so you commit before seeing your own data.
  • Very few public reviews exist, which makes long-term reliability hard to judge.
  • It's built around funnels and calls, so B2B SaaS and local lead gen get less from it.

What users say

"They over promise and under deliver." (Source)
"They make set-up super difficult." (Source)

  6. Can I keep Cometly's conversion API setup when I switch?

You'll set it up again in the new tool. Turn off Cometly's sync for each event once the new tool sends it, so Meta and Google don't count the same conversion twice.
